Massey Physiotherapy was established in West Auckland in 1985, and has provided excellent physiotherapy services to the local community ever since. We are proud of our strong history here.

Massey Physiotherapy is managed and operated by Maureen Betts. Maureen has over thirty years clinical experience and has post graduate qualifications in musculoskeletal and manipulative physiotherapy.
Maureen has worked extensively with sports injuries and sports teams over the years, and has an interest in all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, pain management, exercise rehabilitation and sports pyhsiotherapy. Her emphasis is on a ‘hands on’ approach.
Elizabeth (Liz) worked in Australia for ten years where she developed specialist knowledge and skills in musculoskeletal, paediatrics, women’s health, lymphoedema and work place/occupational injuries including complex musculoskeletal injuries sustained in high risk mining injuries. Liz is pleased to have returned to New Zealand with her young family and enjoys the active outdoor kiwi lifestyle.
Liz combines hands on treatment with education and exercise therapy to enable clients to manage their symptoms and understand and address underlying mechanisms of injury Liz enjoys seeing the progress her clients make throughout their recovery, assisting them to return to normal pain free function as soon as possible.
Liz has a special interest in rehabilitation following injury and exercise prescription to address underlying musculoskeletal issues that may contribute to injury.
Having completed post graduate advanced musculoskeletal physiotherapy training at James Cook University in Townsville Liz is keen to further develop her expertise through ongoing post graduate study in musculo-skeletal physiotherapy, joint mobilisation and manipulation.
Jacki has over forty years clinical experience. She owned and managed a successful private practice in Titirangi for 22 years, during which time, as well as specializing in musculoskeletal and rehabilitation pyhysiotherapy, Jacki was the physiotherapist for the local national league men’s basketball team.
Jacki has attended many post graduate courses during her career and has completed a post graduate Diploma in Manual Therapy as well as a post graduate paper on the mechanics and management of Chronic Pain.
